This book of promises and prayers was inspired by my son, Austin. This idea first originated during the pandemic, when Austin and I would pray together every morning. We would pray for each other, our family, our community, our nation, and our world.
Austin recognized how praying with and for family members and friends via FaceTime and Zoom calls during the pandemic, would help lift their spirits and make them feel better. This led to him asking if there were a way we could do that for everybody. The result was our 'Morning Prayer Series' during the pandemic. Austin and I began going "Live" together on Instagram and Facebook every morning at 8am EST, with a morning prayer, and words of inspiration and encouragement for whomever chose to join. Our 'Morning Prayer Series' started in May, of 2020, and lasted through December 31, of 2020. We went "Live" consistently every Monday - Friday for 8 months straight. Based on the feedback we received from our 'Morning Prayer Series', God's hand was evident in the impact that He allowed us to make in people's lives; including our own. We received countless DMs, posts, texts, emails, and phone calls during that 8 month period, from people sharing how God moved in their lives. Lives were clearly touched, changed, transformed, and saved through that ministry. As we were approaching 2024, Austin asked me if we could start the Morning Prayer Calls again. It felt like that request came out of nowhere, but I know better than that now. This was God speaking to me, yet again, through His amazing gift of our son. So, we started our 'Morning Promise & a Prayer Series' on January 1, 2024. We went "Live" every weekday morning for the year of 2024 from January 1 - December 31. That is a total of 262 straight weekdays of Promises & Prayers. This book is a collection of 100 of those 262 promises, accompanied by a proposed prayer to go with each promise. We also included a list of questions to serve as a study guide for each promise, to help you to personally reflect on the power and purpose of each of these promises in and on your life.
