In some cases, a slightly different format was used: "Time - Student - Support - Skill - Accuracy and Measurement, Documentation." (Example) By June 2015, Student X will independently be able to choose a SMART Goal from this database 100% of time, as documented in the trial logs. This collection of SMART Goals will help educators and home school parents jump start the creation of an Individual Education Plan or a Personal Program Plan. For students receiving Tier 2 interventions in a Response to Intervention Model, these goals can be used as Short-Term Objectives to guide educational programming.

Author Biography

This is only a fraction of the 1000s of SMART goals I have written, revised, edited, and compiled during my career in general and special education. These are some of the best SMART Goals I have come across, and although some of them might look the same, they could be significantly different, as wording and nuances per SMART goal could mean a completely different outcome.
