Since its debut in 1986, the American Silver Eagle has become the world's most popular silver bullion coin--admired by investors and collectors alike, and often called "the modern Morgan dollar." With more than 673 million struck to date, it has surpassed its classic predecessors in both popularity and global impact.

In A Guide Book of American Silver Eagles, award-winning numismatic writer Joshua McMorrow-Hernandez delivers the authoritative research and practical guidance collectors expect from the Red Book Series. This richly illustrated first edition provides behind-the-scenes history of the U.S. bullion coin program, insights from designers and Mint officials, and advice for collecting, grading, and investing in Silver Eagles.

Inside you'll find:

  • A full exploration of the coin's origins and artistic roots
  • The evolution of U.S. bullion coin programs
  • Coin-by-coin analysis with mintages and retail values across multiple grades
  • Coverage of key dates, varieties, and notable errors
  • Professional tips from industry experts on storage, grading, and cherrypicking for quality
  • The latest official data from the U.S. Mint
  • And much more!

Whether you are new to bullion investing or building a specialized collection, this reference demonstrates why the American Silver Eagle has become the cornerstone of the global bullion market.
