Adams Professorship on Constitutional Law in his honor in 2005. Charles J. Emmerich is Professor of Legal Studies at Olivet Nazarene University, where he is the founder and executive director of the Center for Law and Culture. From 1969 to 1986 Warren E. Burger served as chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
