Mundo de fragmentos es la primera publicaci n de Amun tegui Vald s. Con una obra cuidadosa y correcta, los proyectos de la oficina conformada por los arquitectos chilenos Crist bal Amun tegui y Alejandro Vald s no dejan de lado un comentario sobre la disciplina actual. Asumiendo la imposibilidad de las grandes verdades como un hecho, su trabajo se centra en la recuperaci n de la historia por medio del ensamblaje y composici n de fragmentos. Esta actitud se verifica por medio de 13 proyectos: un hotel, un restaurante, cinco casas, dos tiendas, un edificio institucional, y tres montajes de exposiciones. Son proyectos peque os, como si cada uno fuera un fragmento de una idea mayor. La monograf a tambi n incluye una secci n llamada correcciones, en que cuatro oficinas internacionales intervienen (o corrigen) proyectos de Amun tegui Vald s, reafirmando la idea de que la arquitectura es producto del intercambio de ideas, tal como el que busca promover la serie Monograf as ARQ. With a careful and correct work, the projects of this office formed by the Chilean architects Crist bal Amun tegui and Alejandro Vald s do not leave aside a comment on the current discipline. Assuming the impossibility of great truths, theor work focuses on the recovery of history through the assembly and composition of fragments. This attitude is verified through 13 projects: a hotel, a restaurant, five houses, two stores, an institutional building, and three exhibitions. These are small projects, as if each were a fragment of a larger idea. The monograph also includes a section called 'corrections', in which four international offices intervene on (or correct) projects of Amun tegui Vald s, reaffirming the idea that architecture is the product of the exchange of ideas, such as the one that seeks to promote the ARQ Monograph series.
