Author Biography

Pierre Salinger was a concert pianist at age 6, a decorated naval hero at age 20, and an award-winning journalist by the time he was 26. At age 35, Salinger became press secretary for John F. Kennedy. During President Kennedy's brief tenure, Salinger participated in many events of unparalleled historic significance. Salinger later became a US senator and then worked in television and film. He died in 2004.
