PREFACE

Most of the the sermons in this book have been preached in revival meetings, and at the great camp-meetings throughout the nation, and have been blessed of God in helping to lead many souls to salvation through faith in Christ.

A large number of my friends in many parts of the country have insisted that I have them published in book form.

I am having them published, and am sending them forth with the prayer and hope that they may prove helpful to all those who may read them. I am growing old, and have a desire that this book may carry a message of salvation to hungry human hearts long after I have ceased to speak.

If in its pages the reader can find anything of interest and helpfulness I shall be grateful.

I want the contents of this book to bear witness through the years to my undying faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal and all-sufficient Saviour.

There sermons are but a poor expression of some of the great truths of that Gospel which is the power of God unto salvation. May the Holy Spirit illuminate the minds of those who may read the contents of this book, to discover in our blessed Lord Jesus one able to save to the uttermost all who come to Him.
