He has proposed a regional cooperation named HIMEK alliance comprising 11 countries with emphasis on drastic reduction of short life climate forcers and forest land restoration. This is an extremely important initiative. Loss of glaciers and depleting water flow in rivers originating from Himalayas would directly impact one fifth of the human population.
