After graduating from Mt. Diablo High School in 1967, Don Filer spent three years in the United States Army as a Meteorological Observer. Mr. Filer went to San Francisco State University and received a BA in Business in 1976. He started working, as a Technical Writer for Multisonics, a leader in the traffic control industry and the first to use a microprocessor in a commercial application. In 1979, he dove into the personal computer business when he joined Exidy, Inc., who made a personal computer called the Sorcerer. Don joined Byte Industries in 1981 as Sales Manager. After that he moved to Digital Marketing Corporation, one of the first distributors of business software for personal computers. He is married and the father of three children.
