Culling animals for the sake of conservation is a thorny, sometimes crucial and often controversial issue. For naturalist Hugh Warwick, it is far from a comfortable subject. Author Biography

Hugh Warwick is an ecologist and writer with a particular fondness for hedgehogs. He is the author of five nature books, including A Prickly Affair, The Beauty in the Beast and Linescapes. Hugh appears regularly in the media and gives regular talks on conservation issues. He is also a spokesperson for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.
