The pulp and paper industry (PPM) is one of the most important branches of the timber industry complex. The pulp and paper industry of Russia generates most of the profit received by the timber industry, a significant percentage of sales and exports, accumulates the largest funds and carries out the most large-scale investment programs. Nevertheless, at the present stage of development the industry faces big problems connected with the search of new sources of growth and gaining stable positions in the world and domestic market.
