It wasn't until the 1925 edition that Adams was listed as author. Henry Adams remarked, "The wholesale piracy of Democracy was the single real triumph of my life."-it was very popular, as readers tried to guess who the author was and who the characters really were.
Henry Brooks Adams (February 16, 1838 - March 27, 1918) was an American journalist, historian, academic and novelist. He is best-known for his autobiographical book, The Education of Henry Adams. He was a member of the Adams political family.
