by Aonghus Gordon (Author), Charlotte Von Bulow (Author), Martyn Rawson (Author)

Dialogues of Destiny is an erudite and wide ranging review of Waldorf education in the light of one hundred years of philosophy since its foundation in the early part of the twentieth century. Through an extensive and insightful survey of the literature and dialogues with key figures in the field, Paul Hougham achieves the balance of being both a practitioner and a critic, finding patterns across disciplines and discourses. The result is a vision of Waldorf education, emboldened by emancipatory ethics, that could significantly contribute to the long anticipated revolution in education that restores human agency, consciousness and creativity to the heart of pedagogical practice. Dialogues of Destiny between Paul Hougham and: -Florian Osswald -Christopher Clouder -John Burnett -Martyn Rawson -Charlotte von B low -Aonghus Gordon "Steiner's principal focus on education in the light of child development and the ongoing wonder of consciousness, however it might be termed, may prove to offer the versatility required for education into the next centuries, in terms of both practical skills and visionary landscapes."
