It includes variants from the diverse departments of the Guatemalan Southwest and Central regions where K'iche' is spoken. Pronunciation is not included because K'iche' includes sounds which cannot be written with the vowels of English or Spanish, especially those described as glottal or guttural. Even though signs such as the apostrophe are used, it is best to hear the pronunciation from a native speaker in order to master the language through the correct pronunciation.
