The 3 year old Aniline had blown up, setting off multiple other explosions from chemical storage tanks nearby. Death and destruction was immediately the order of the day at the huge industrial complex and for the entire community, in what was to be called Tennessee's worst industrial accident.
Pete Dykes was a working newspaper man who observed much of the events told in this book.
