After leading a Bible study one summer on the shores of Lake Erie about the events that occurred when Jesus was by water, Candy Porostosky decided to share her teachings, notes, and lessons so that others may also have the opportunity to purify, heal, and give life to their souls.

Within a unique collection of encounters with Jesus by the water tailored for either Bible study groups or as a personal devotional, Porostosky intertwines scriptures with personal observations, based on years of Bible study and prayer. She invites spiritual seekers to spend time reflecting on God's Word and in prayer in order to understand what the Holy Spirit is saying to each of us. Her encounters include the baptism of Jesus, the calling of the disciples, the woman at the well, the parables, and lessons in the storm and by the sea of Tiberius.

Author Biography

Candy Porostosky was raised in a pastor's home and attended bible college immediately after high school. She has served in ministry in a variety of ways throughout the years, mostly in the area of music, but also in leadership positions in children's and youth ministry and as an ordained pastor. Currently, Candy is serving as the Pastor/Director of Music in two sister congregations in Madison, Ohio.
