This is my journey through life as a christian. The bible helps me navigate the situations and circumstances of life. For all the young people who feel they have nobody to point the way, there is a guide. I think about the kids who have no good role model in their lives. Whether they are being pulled into the gangs, or are bullied by others, or just feel so alone and unloved, the bible offers fulfillment and joy. It's the ultimate teacher and Christ is our best friend. There are so many competing voices for the young to hear. It's crucial they learn where truth abounds, and true wisdom is available to all who ask. The bible is God's love letter to us. Granpa's Eyes is not for the children whose home life is well-structured and where the parents encourage an active church and social life. But perhaps these same kids have a friend who needs to hear a common sense approach to life. Granpa's Eyes can be a conversation starter for them.

Author Biography

As a lay person with no formal religious training, I try to show how anybody with a desire to learn about life can do so with a minimal effort. The world is full of misdirection, yet by reading only one chapter per day from the bible, a person can become pretty wise. This, in turn, builds confidence and helps him or her to become a part of the solution in the world.
