Her work has been anthologized in The Best American Short Stories and Blue Cathedral: Short Fiction for the New Millenium. She has been a fellow at the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, the Djerassi Foundation, and the MacDowell Colony. She is the recipient of a Tennessee Individual Artist Fellowship, a previous Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Grant, and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. She was born and raised in Baltimore and now lives in Frederick, MD.
