Jacob loved Rachel from the beginning, and he was prepared to do everything to get her. He would not allow any obstacle to stand in his way or block him from pursuing Rachel. Many people today are failing to pursue their dreams because of disappointments. Others are given substitutes. We are told that Jacob was promised by Laban that after working for 7 years he would receive Rachel as his bride but after the wedding night Jacob found out that he was given a substitute/Leah and not the desire of his heart Rachel. You might be a qualified teacher, nurse, Accountant, an Engineer, Lawyer, etc but life has given you something else/ a substitute or a Leah instead of your Rachel and you are now contented with that substitute.
