by Stoney Stonebraker (Author)

How to Drive Efficiently presents tactics for driving safely, saving fuel, and reducing wear and tear on your car. These tactics developed over many years of driving can be easily mastered by new drivers, or anyone This book is written for high school students (or any person who is just learning to drive) who wants to learn to drive a car both safely, and efficiently, so that they use the least gasoline, and save wear and tear on their cars. Included are laws of physics and mathematics as they pertain to automobiles. These laws include the law of inertia, Pythagorean theorem of mathematics, and the rule that "the shortest distance between two points is a straight line" from elementary geometry. When the student finishes this course, he or she will be able to drive a car in such manner that he will use the least amount of gasoline, and drive the shortest distance from a start point to his destination in about the same time as any other driver. It is my hope that young people, just learning to drive, will do so in a manner that is both efficient and fun. They will use some of the math and physics principles they learned in school. All the principles included do not restrict the drivers in any way, but will make each trip in a car both safe and efficient.
