'I'm Bored' is an exciting story seen through the eyes of a dog. He is locked into his fenced in backyard and is constantly teased by a pesky neighborhood cat. The dog believes he must escape his caged environment for a look at the wonders of the outside world. The dog eventually escapes his compound and must live with what occurs outside his yard. Through the dog's outside adventures a child or preteen learns the hard lessons of attempting to live outside of everyday home life. The book is a fun and credible example of why a youngster should never run away.
