There are three short stories in these pages. The stories are based on characters from my thesis, a post-apocalyptic novel where humanity has lost Earth and now lives on seven moons:
  1. Onyx confronts her internet stalker. But she's worried she may go too far.
  2. Serenity stars in a B-Movie. And it reminds her of the biggest mistake of her life.
  3. Gemma spends centuries in purgatory as a bartender. And now she's grown impatient, which puts her at risk for a hellish consequence.
There are also thirty storytelling tips in these pages. I use examples from the three short stories, experiences from my MFA workshops, and Jack and the Beanstalk (which has been helpful to my students, ) to illustrate how the storytelling tips have been applied.

Here's how you can read the stories and tips:
  1. Any way you want.
  2. Read the whole stories first. On the second turn, read the tips.
  3. Read the stories and pause to read the tips as you go. You'll find them via underlined words in the stories for the e-books and footnotes for the traditional books.
  4. Read the stories and the tips completely separately.
  5. Read this book in some other way that I didn't think of.
