Author Biography
Carolyn Mueller was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where she was a Nerinx Hall Marker (yes, that's right, marker). After studying Creative Writing at DePauw University, a happy accident gave Carolyn the opportunity to become a zookeeper at the Saint Louis Zoo. Her first book, Bubbles the Dwarf Zebu: A Story About Finding a Home at the Saint Louis Zoo is based on one of the animals she cared for in the Children's Zoo. Today, Carolyn finds herself living the unusual duel life of an author/zookeeper, by day caring for the lovely, clawed, and toothy creatures of the Carnivore Department and working on stories, essays, and blogs by night.
