Little Blue Shoe was inspired by the sight of a lost blue sneaker in the middle of the Highway in Charles Town, WV. I saw this shoe on the side of the road as I stopped at a traffic light. I wondered, "how does anyone lose or abandon a shoe like this in the middle of this busy intersection?" Little Blude Shoe became a creation by imagining where and why a little girl might lose a shoe.
