Hence, whenever I read the North American news in digital and social media and come across body-part words in contexts with different metaphorical meanings, I have collected them. In this book you will find the result of this decade-old collection. This book compiles the 1000 authentic examples of body-part anthropomorphic and zoomorphic words and their metaphorical meanings.

The body-part entries are classified alphabetically from A-Z under the 129 body-part head-words. Then the 1000 expressions, i.e., collocations of the head-words, have been listed followed by their metaphorical definitions. Authentic, metaphorical usages of the English body-part words follow the definitions. The sources of the authentic examples have been listed last.

The authentic expressions have been collected from about fifty different North American digital and social media sources, of which 12.7% are Canadian, and 87.4% are from the US.
