This book was written by the author because her favorite childhood activity was catching fireflies in her front yard with her sisters. The fireflies would fly through the trees and past us in our yard. We couldn't wait to snag one in a jar and examine the bright, glowing, flickering light. It was as if the fireflies wanted to let us know they were present.

In My Firefly Friend, one little girl has a special Firefly who visits her every night, glowing just outside her window as she is tucked into her bed ready to sleep. Although she very much wants to catch him with her jar, she also appreciates his beauty as he flits freely through the night, returning to visit when he knows she is waiting for him.

About Author: An Airforce Brat father was a Sergeant who trained troops in the Vietnam War and acquired a BS in Marketing from Southwest Texas University in San Marcos. Mother is a retired nurse and board member of Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital. Ms. Lott has three daughters Charmaine, Courtney and Kia. She is also a retired teacher of 31 1/2 years and a member of Who's Who Among American Women.
