I have played the guitar for more years than I can remember. I can play quite a wide variety of chords and, with most guitar music; I can sit down and play the chords shown on the music sheet and hum or sing along to the words while I strum. The downside of this is that I need to have the music in front of me if I want to play my guitar When I decided to learn the Piano, I decided I did not want to be tied down to sheet music, I wanted to play by ear I also did not want to be spending countless hours practicing my scales and practicing five finger exercises.
