Kicked out of her home at the age of fourteen, Jane Alexander soon experienced her first breakdown and suicide attempt. These episodes, coupled with her anti-social behaviors, led to recurring bouts of joblessness and homelessness. Author Biography

Jane Alexander spent over a decade working blue-collar jobs in the industrial sector. In recent years she has become involved with mental health activism and advocacy and was inspired and encouraged to write about her unique story of recovery. Jane is a dedicated practitioner of chi gung (qi gong) and 'nei jia', the internal martial arts, in which she has almost fifteen years experience. She currently resides in the Bay Area.
