I grew up a deeply religious Catholic. At 21, my military husband chose to find his bliss elsewhere & I found myself over 600 miles from home, a single mother of two children under two. Devastated & heartbroken, mere religion gave me little comfort - I felt alone & completely unlovable A few months later, I heard the gospel message of Christ's unconditional love & responded to His invitation to enjoy a personal relationship with Jesus, my Savior. It revolutionized my life While attending an interdenominational home prayer group, I also experienced Jesus as the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit which gave me the power needed to live for Him. Eventually, I joined the Assemblies of God where I taught Sunday School for many years. Clearly, teaching is my spiritual gift, & I operated in it until health problems began to prohibit church attendance. I'm thankful for James River Church in Springfield, MO from which I "attend" services via live streaming which has been a great blessing to me. When I opened my Facebook account about 11 years ago, I began posting a daily devotion for my friends & family. I now post daily in 17 groups as well as my own page. At the prompting of several readers, I pursued the possibility of publishing this book of devotions.

The world can continually suck the Life of God out of us if we allow it. Many Christians are content to keep Jesus in one compartment of their hearts, therefore living powerless, fruitless lives while awaiting their heavenly home. I've learned that when Jesus is the center of our lives, we can be elevated to much greater heights for God's glory. That's the purpose of this devotional.
