Ending up in Crow Territory in North America, they encounter Crazy Horse, chief of the Oglalas, and soon form a profound friendship and respect for each other's cultures. Jiro Taniguchi spent five years as assistant to the late mangaka Kyuta Ishikawa in Tokyo in the 1960s before debuting himself in 1971 inside Young Comics.
