Spanish Grammar for the Clueless is a guide to Spanish grammar for students learning Spanish at the beginning or intermediate level, and it is also for those studying Spanish independently. Understanding that many of those learning Spanish do not remember or were never taught English grammar, this book explains grammatical concepts in clear English so that they can then apply them to Spanish grammar. Each chapter deals with a series of grammatical topics (e.g., noun-adjective agreement). The topic is explained in English and then guides the student through the process of applying this knowledge to Spanish grammar. Following each section, students may test their understanding of the grammatical topic by taking a brief quiz and then checking their answers with the answer key provided. Author Biography

Dr. Eloise Hollyfield Jurgens studied Spanish, English, French, and education at the University of Tennessee, The College of William & Mary, Tennessee Technological University, and East Tennessee State University. Dr. Jurgens has earned bachelor, master's, and doctorate degrees, and she has over 30 years teaching experience at the secondary and college levels. Dr. Jurgens has presented academic research at professional conferences and conducted numerous workshops for teachers. She has published articles in both academic and non-academic magazines, as well as newspapers. After spending five years in Mexico, she returned to the United States and now resides in Colorado, where she continues to pursue multiple writing projects.
