Author Biography

D.X. Ferris is a metal dad. He is a father of two, husband of one, and author of two books about Slayer. But he is not the metal dad depicted in Suburban Metal Dad: Compendium Two. Granted, he has worked with numerous pinhead bosses and entitled hipsters. And he does dig him some Christmas. Xmas, Peanuts, Batman, and heavy metal are among the few things that have relentlessly held Ferris' attention pre-school. After years of writing about other people's art, he decided criticism was essentially a sneaky endeavor, and he got in the game.
