Author Biography
Gary Smalley is one of the country's best known authors and speakers on family relationships. He is the bestselling and award-winning author or coauthor of 65+ books, along with several popular films and videos. He has spent over 40 years learning, teaching and counseling about marriage and family. He has spoken to over 2 million people in live conferences. Smalley had his own national and world wide TV Marriage Infomercial for over 7 years from 1988 to 1995. He won the most popular TV ad for two years. He has also appeared on national television programs such as Oprah, Extra, The Today Show, and Focus on the Family radio show, as well as numerous other national radio programs.
Gary and his wife, Norma, have been married for 50 years and live in Colorado. They have three adult children and 10 grandchildren. Greg and Erin Smalley are heading up the Focus on the Family Marriage and Parenting division, Michael and Amy Smalley are the creators of ER4Love (Save your Marriage in Two Days) and Roger and Kari Gibson are heading up the National Assemblies of God's marriage and family division.
Amy and Michael Smalley specialize in teaching couples the principles of loving well and loving for a lifetime. Their popularity as nationally renowned marriage builders, authors, and couples' consultants has grown in response to their signature no-nonsense advice. Their love story began at Baylor University. After graduation, they went on to earn master's degrees in clinical psychology from Wheaton College. The center provides premarital counseling, marriage crisis consulting, and marriage and parenting seminars.
The Smalleys have enjoyed 15 years of marriage and have three children--Cole, Reagan, and David.
Robert S. Paul, MS, is the vice president of the Focus on the Family Marriage Institute and the primary architect of the Hope Restored marriage intensive programs. He is a licensed professional counselor with over 30 years of experience and is an international speaker. He has bachelor's degrees in both Biblical Studies and Psychology from Evangel University, a master's degree in Counseling from Georgia State University, and a diploma in Christian Counseling from Psychological Studies Institute. He has co-authored Restoring Hope: An Integrative Approach to Marital Therapy for those supporting marriages in crisis, and 9 Lies That Will Destroy Your Marriage for married couples Roberts has also co-authored more books including The DNA of Relationships with Gary and Greg Smalley, Robert and his wife, Jenni, have been married over 42 years and have four children and seven grandchildren.
