I was born and raised in St. Augustine, FL where I lived with my parents and seven older sisters. At the age of 24, I was involved in a terrible car accident with my friend George. In the near fatal accident we both sustained life threatening injuries. I sustained a spinal cord injury. I was paralyzed from my neck down. My parents were strongly advised to place me into a nursing home because I would need to use life support machines for the rest of my life. Fortunately, my parents brought me home and nursed me back to good health. After 5 years of prayer, sweat and tears, I was able to stand up and walk again. My story was written to encourage as well as inspire anyone who faces adversity to never give up. This book details actual events that occurred from the scene of the accident, the trauma unit and rehabilitation.

Author Biography

I was born and raised in St. Augustine, FL our nation's oldest city, where I lived with my parents and seven older sisters. I attended the local schools In St. Johns County and graduated from the University of North Florida with a BA Degree in Psychology. At the age 24, I was involved in a terrible car accident with my friend George. In the near fatal accident we both sustained life threatening injuries. I sustained a spinal cord injury and George sustained a head injury. I was paralyzed from my neck down while George suffered from a traumatic brain injury. The Doctor's gave us a 0% chance of recovering from our injuries. My parents were strongly advised to place me into a nursing home because I would need to use life support machines for the rest of my life. Fortunately, my parents brought me home and nursed me back to good health. I spent many years working hard in physical therapy to regain my strength and mobility. Thankfully, after 5 years of prayer, sweat and tears, I was able to stand up and walk again. My story was written to encourage as well as inspire anyone who faces adversity to never give up.
