Author Biography

A working Dad, Stephen (Mid Sussex village in England) would like many others, make up and tell a bedtime story. One particular story became a favourite. A story about a Balloon and an Owl. This was probably told hundreds of times to his two daughters over several years. One afternoon his oldest Daughter of seven, thought they should write and illustrate the book as a keep sake and sell locally at art and craft fairs and support a charity - Make A Wish. 1000 books were self published which started to sell quicker than they expected. Stephen decided to try his luck and sent a copy to Virgin Atlantic. That same afternoon they called to discuss the book and the very next day ordered 2000 copies to hand out on their long haul flights to children as a bed time story! The news quickly got picked up by the Guardian Newspaper, BBC and other national news outlets both here and in the States.
