There are twelve apostles of Jesus Christ: Simon Peter, Andrew, James son of Zebedee, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the Lesser, Simon the Zealot, Thaddaeus, Judas Iscariot. Why did Jesus choose these disciples who were flawed? The definition of a disciple refers to a "follower." The definition of an apostle refers to "one who is sent out." As such these men had a mixed background, some just ordinary fisherman, some with no outstanding achievements, and even some with a bad rap sheet of trouble. This study is for anyone, but the target age is for preteens and teens. This study shows how we can still be used by Christ even in an imperfect world. Not only are the disciples discussed by life experiences, but the study shows how to use the Bible to search for these disciples using the concordance index.
