by Diane Kistner (Editor), Chloe Viner (Author)

This chapbook of poems is a literary journey across America. Inspired by a real road trip taken after the loss of a loved one, each poem reflects a different place the author visited. Dark, visceral, and cerebral, Viner's free-verse poetry provides a nuanced glimpse of hope in the wake of tragedy.

Author Biography

Chloe Viner's poetry has appeared in Poetry Quarterly, Upender, and many other literary journals. Her first chapbook, Naked Under an Umbrella, was published in 2011 by Finishing Line Press. While earning her JD from Vermont Law School, she went on a cross-country road trip that inspired this book. Viner lives in a farmhouse in rural Vermont with her husband, a dog, a cat, and a flock of hens.
