Penny, Kmart, McDonalds, Verizon, Victoria's Secret, and Airlines are just a few that use prison labor in the manufacture of their products in some interrelated way. The Prison Industrial Complex and its offspring Mass Incarceration are key components to maintaining recidivism. However, there is Hope. A New Praxis for Jail and Prison Ministry offers a solution to anyone concerned with the incarcerated, returning citizens, reentry, or prison reform, a set of practical tools that will change the way one thinks about problem solving based on biblical principles. The Kingdom of Yah (God) on earth offers the incarcerated, those who work within the system of incarceration, and those that minister to them a fresh, bold alternative to Church as usual.
