Author Biography

Brigadier General (Ret.) Julia Jeter Cleckley served in the Women's Army Corps, the U.S. Army National Guard and 24 years active duty in the U.S. Army, for a total of 28 years in uniform in a storied and wide-ranging career. She currently serves on numerous advisory committees dealing with women's and veterans' affairs, is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and a charter member of the City of Alexandria Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction. She is also a member of the National Parliamentarian Association. Julia is a pioneer, leader, coach, educator, mentor, key note speaker and survivor, who is remarkably successful at empowering and inspiring individuals to reach their potential.
