It is an accurate portrayal of both the wolf society (yes, they really do have baby sitters and teachers) and American Indian civilizations of the past. I have attempted to teach children about a different culture, history, prejudice, and the importance of obeying parents, while endeavoring to expand their vocabulary. Bayowolf is approximately a twenty-minute read, making it ideal as a bedtime story.
