Author Biography

Jim Millard is the author of four books to date- The Secrets of Crab Island, Fort Montgomery: Through the years... A Pictorial History of the Great Stone Fort on Lake Champlain, Lake Passages: A Journey Through the Centuries, and Bastions on the Border: The Great Stone Forts at Rouses Point on Lake Champlain. Jim has had articles and photos published in a number of magazines and journals and provided materials for use in museum exhibits in the US and the United Kingdom. During 2009 he appeared in the pilot for the History Channel presentation of "How the States Got Their Shapes." In 2018 Jim will be featured in an upcoming episode of the popular BBC Program "Great American Railway Journeys" discussing the fascinating history of Lake Champlain's Fort "Blunder." Jim is known for his enthusiasm for the remarkable history and incredible beauty of the Lake Champlain and Lake George regions.
