Author Biography

Mesut Varlioglu, PhD, is a technical consultant supporting new technology operations across many countries. He earned his PhD in materials science from Iowa State University, a master's degree in materials engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, and a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from Istanbul Technical University. Dr. Varlioglu has authored several patents, trademarks, and technical articles in journals such as Light Metal Age and the Journal of Applied Physics. He has also given technical seminars and training classes around the world. In 2015, he received the Young Leadership Development Award from TMS Society.

Originally from Turkey, Dr. Varlioglu now lives in Houston, Texas. He has commercialized an invention of his own called the Measudrill(TM) and has helped other inventors to commercialize their products.
