The Armenian community is a thriving community in Cyprus, especially thanks to the presence of the Melkonian Educational Institute. The author presents some episodes from the life of the students at this school. The author also depicts scenes from cultural life and theatrical performances within the Armenian community in Cyprus. The author was born in Aleppo in 1954. He lived the first sixteen years of his life at Armenian quarters in Aleppo. He then moved to Beirut, Lebanon together with his family, where he lived in an Armenian quarter for eleven years. After graduating from college at the age of twenty-seven, he moved to the United Arab Emirates, where he worked for eleven years at the offices of various international companies. The author established a family during that period with his Cypriot-Armenian wife Rita, with whom he has two sons. At the age of thirty-eight, he moved to Nicosia with his family and lives there until today. The author presents episodes from his life in the Armenian communities in these countries in separate books.
