Author Biography

Dr. Kathleen Brooks has degrees in Music and Education and a Ph.D. in Psychology. She has been an educator, mediator, consultant, and facilitator for fifty years. She has worked with corporations, taught in public and private schools, run a program for gifted students, and played the piano professionally, as well as taught the Suzuki Piano Method. Dr. Brooks is an ordained minister with the School of Actualism, has studied a wide variety of healing modalities, and is a Reiki Master. She has hosted two Internet talk shows, Ethics from Bedroom to Boardroom and Breaking the Conspiracy of Silence, where she provided a safe forum for discussing child sexual abuse. She also studied shamanic energy healing with the Healing the Light Body School that is run by Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D., director of The Four Winds Society. Dr. Brooks currently maintains a private practice in San Diego, California, where she specializes in the integration of psychological and spiritual growth. She does Inner Child work, lifespan integration, and shamanic work in private, group, and workshop settings. She teaches light alchemy meditation and facilitates her workshops, Awakening Awareness and Expanding Awareness. Creating connection and community is her passion.
