I have written this book for me, for us. This is my story, our story, my journey, our journey, my healing, our healing. I say this because, although my story is unique to me, it is not dissimilar to the life stories of millions, if not billions, of women throughout the world and the ages. It's not written to bash anyone or make anyone look bad. It's not a blame story. I am not a victim. It's my naked truth, and I am now in a place where God is shouting to me, "it's time to share those stories." Then, me looking around when I hear the shouting only to hear further, "yes, yuh mi shouting at, don't mek mi get any louder." My stomach churns with the thought of having to tell this story, my story, our story. For me to really tell this story, I had to go

through being alone, the healing process, the crying, the anger, the frustrations, and, worst of all, the DEPRESSION.
