Imprisoned by the evil Emperor Akdhar and forced to fight in the arena, Sinbad was rescued by a small group of rebels led by the woman-warrior Qani. Stumbling across a family of former slaves, Sinbad and the others learned that the rightful Emperor of Mars, Prince Muqari, was being held captive by a Martian War Cult. Using a map provided by the slaves, Sinbad, Qani and the warrior Kar-Tyr, last of the Kurwani, tracked down the cult, battling its massive god-statue. When the statue was destroyed, the boy-Prince Muqari was released from within.
