The story begins with the discovery of an elderly woman's decomposing body in her home, which leads authorities to a horrifying scene: multiple human bodies hung and staged in the basement, signaling the presence of a calculating and methodical serial killer. As the investigation unfolds, a complex web of past trauma, systemic failures, and brutal revenge begins to reveal itself.

The killer appears to be targeting individuals involved in child protective services, law enforcement, education, and the legal system-people who, presumably, failed to protect him or someone he loved. The killings are not random; they're messages.
