Jerold J. Kreisman es un distinguido psiquiatra clínico, investigador y educador que ha dado numerosas conferencias a nivel internacional. Además de artículos, capítulos de libros y un blog («I Hate You, Don't Leave Me») para la revista Psychology Today, es autor de Sometimes I Act Crazy: Living with Borderline Personality Disorder, con Hal Straus, y Talking to a Loved One with Borderline Personality Disorder. El doctor Kreisman es miembro vitalicio distinguido de la Asociación Estadounidense de Psiquiatría. Hal Straus es autor, o coautor, de siete libros sobre psicología, salud y deportes. Ha publicado numerosos artículos en revistas estadounidenses como American Health, Men's Health, Ladies' Home Journal y Redbook.
