by Jonathan Pellegrin (Author)

Jonathan Pellegrin knows what it's like to grow a family company into a successful and thriving business. He also understands the point where it is in everyone's best interests to sell. In The Art of Selling the Family Business, he discusses the decisions and goals of successfully selling a family business and easing the transition for both your family and your employees.

In his guide, Pellegrin covers

  • the standard family business models,
  • the concept of family wealth,
  • the qualities of a successful sale,
  • the questions you need to ask about your family business,
  • the challenges of selling the business,
  • the best way to lead a discussion about selling,
  • the road map for selling,
  • the preparations to get the company ready for the sale, and
  • the next steps after making this difficult decision.

Pellegrin explores everything from the perspectives of the business, the family, and the owner. He personally understands the attachment you have to your family's company, but he warns you not to let sentimentality get in the way of a good business decision. There are many different ways you can build your legacy and provide for your family. Selling your business could lead to amazing opportunities.
