Author Biography

Tagore Ramoutar was born in Bristol in the 60s, and grew up in Middlesbrough (UK). A graduate of the University of Cambrdige, Tagore spent over 20 years in corporate world including over 16 years doing jobs that involved international travel. He is married and has two girls who are his inspiration for his children's. In 2010 Tagore left the corporate world to focus on his writing (and designing). He currently is writing two different types of books - children's books (a series of books by Eric and Rufus Children's Books) and a food guide (10 places to eat). The books are published by Longshot Ventures Ltd a publisher set up by Tagore. The children's books are inspired by Tagore's children, their cousins and their friends. The majority of the books are stories illustrated with photos of real activities, places and objects. The stories are light and fun but have facts and educational elements embedded. They are targeted at the three to seven year olds. His short stories are designed to make a child smile.
